  • 2:00 p.m. Lunch - Tomato Basil & Walnut Salad w/Cannellini Beans (pg 132)
  • 5:00 p.m. Snack - Tropical Fruit & Yogurt Dip (healthy snack #4 on website)
  • 9:30 p.m. Dinner - Turkey Pita "Pizzalad" (pg 124)

Before anything I would like to say that the breakfast smoothie was friggin delicious.   I've never been a huge fan of having smoothies for breakfast beacase in my silly little mind I always thought there was no way it could be filling.   Apparently I've been wrong.    Just as I was drinking the last sweet bit of it, I realized I forgot to add in the whole oats.

Sadness enveloped me and I wished nothing more than to spew it back out just to add the oats and re-drink.

Sick, I know... but the thought was merely a fleeting one that goes to show just how immense my disappointment was in having left them out.

Alas, theres always next time.

As enjoyable as lunch and dinner were, I must admit breakfast and the snack stole the show for me on Day 18.  The Tropical Fruit & Yogurt Dip was our first experience with Carambola (aka Star Fruit) and it was subtle but delicious.  Considering the sweetness of the pineapple and grapes, it was a nice balanced blend.

There was also some mango but cutting our mango into chunks wasn't a particularly easy task and we simply slid the mushy mess into the yogurt dip.  Problem solved :0)

TheFiances hunger cues are starting to curb and he no longer finds the need to have the snack between his breakfast and lunch.   It's a funny thing to me because in the back of my mind I'm always worried he's going to be hungry all day and more often than not I almost feel I should throw in extra portions of protein for him at times.

But all the while, he's fine with no complaints :0)

As for me, forgive me if this gets into the "too much information" zone but my body seems to be rebelling the last two days and my "regularity" is having technical difficulties.   I'm not sure if this is part of "Aunt Flow"s doing and if I should just wait it out but with this particular food plan my body should be getting everything it needs to keep the body in good working mode.

We'll be weighing in tomorrow and between Aunt Flows bloating and this minor glitch in my "regularity" I'm not expecting anything too major.  Perhaps after Day 19s breakfast, Im hoping the yogurt and fiber from the oats will encourage my body to resume  its regularly scheduled programming.

Happy Friday guys!
